Inspired by sunny days, collective memories and foraging adventures from the bush to the coast - Comet Beverages is a bottled love letter to the place where we live and explore. Their mission? To return the taste of pure fruit back down to earth. Comet was conceived over lockdown by a team of hospitality mavericks who understood that a well-crafted syrup is the beginning of a great drink. We’re talking a range of premium natural syrups free from artificial flavours, colours and sweeteners, with similar sodas on the way. Working with said mavericks, the idea was to create a classic, leisurely brand which felt like an escape to the Australian coast. Like morning dips in the surf. Like balmy evenings and good company. Like the simpler times we love and long for. Simple enough was Comet’s market, being venues, pro bartenders, home bartenders and anyone keen on fresh botanicals. Press go.

A throwback identity designed to capture the flavours and the ethos behind the brand. The identity followed an internally-coined design philosophy and language of ‘milk bar-chic’, a look made iconic by the sun-kissed, ocean-sprayed milk bars dotted along our coasts. You know, the ones you walk into barefoot after a dip in the drink with a fistful of dollars bound for a frosty Calipo. We digress. The logo itself puts its feet up, being inclined slightly backwards and features a comet streak to form the ’T’. Comet officially launched in 2022 with a throwback slushee van (operation festival darling is in play) and a core syrup range that’s since made landfall in bars and retailers across Victoria. Sodas are up next, as is a spread nationwide, plus some neat new flavours. Watch this space, because Comet = space. We're out.
