Tasked with defining the brand's design and art direction across social, the challenge was to amplify these values and take branding that was somewhat dated, and make it fresh again. How it looked. A social brand world that amplified core values, better spoke to younger audiences and offered fresh ways to use traditional brand assets. This low-fi direction was intended to be polished yet casual, via simple compositions, expanded colours, expressive emojis, hard drop shadows, energetic motion work and a summer EDM soundtrack. Mars were big fans, with the new direction launched in the UK in 2020, and now being adopted in markets across Europe.
